The partners aim to expand aquaculture and develop Omni Biome AI to combat soil degradation, irregular yields, diseases, and climate stress.

Luminis, a biotech company and Forvis Mazars, an audit, tax, and advisory services firm, have partnered to broaden Luminis’ offerings in the soil microbiome market in the country.

The partners aim to expand aquaculture and develop Omni Biome AI to combat soil degradation, irregular yields, diseases, and climate stress.

Nalandra Capital Partners safeguards Luminis’s ability to convert biological data into useful agriculture solutions for related industries through the deal.
Luminis CEO Rachelle Jensen said this partnership combines networks, financial backing, and scientific instruments to implement microbiome-based farming practices in India.

Additionally, the company is investing in the development of genomic data infrastructure using AI and next-generation sequencing, with the intention of implementing these technologies in India’s agri-food systems.

According to Nalanda Capital Partners co-founder Ayan Desai, the company backs scalable inventions with real-world uses in sustainable agricultural systems.

Agriculture contributes about 16 per cent to India’s GDP. The introduction of sustainable and science-based practices is expected to further support national food security and agricultural resilience.

Luminis aims to develop microbiome-based agricultural solutions. Using next-generation sequencing and AI-driven insights, the company finds microbial patterns to develop customised probiotics and bioproducts that improve animal health, environmental resilience, and agricultural output.
